Infusion '23

Infusion was an Initiative first chartered by the Red Cross Society in 2020 where children from the Vajira Sri Development Centre were given a day full of fun activities and donations were handed over to the organization at the end of the day. This project was organized by Naqeeb Mohamed and Nafees Salley from the Grade 09 batch at that time, and this year also this project aims to make a positive impact on the less fortunate in Colombo by donating food parcels and providing community service.

The first phase of the project involves the distribution of food parcels to those in need. We recognize that many individuals in Colombo are struggling to make ends meet, particularly in the wake of the Economic Crisis. As such, we are committed to providing food to help alleviate some of the financial burden faced by these individuals and to spread the festive cheer of the Sinhalese and Tamil New Year.

The second phase of the project involves community service. We believe that giving back to the community is a fundamental part of being a responsible citizen, we will be donating necessary dry rations and stationery equipments to a children's home.

Through Infusion, we hope to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need, while also fostering a sense of social responsibility and community involvement among our members. We believe that by coming together and working towards a common goal, we can make a real difference in our community.
